Default Margins
Currently under review and testing 16th May 2008. Corrected 18th May 2008. This has only been tested with a 96dpi setting and User Agent text size setting of 16px.
Each example consists of:
- A wrapper with a transparent grid background with lines spaced every 10 pixels.
- Two empty divs with grey backgrounds purposely with no margins above and below each container.
- Between the two empty divs is a container (containing block) with silver background. There is horizontal padding for each container to show the silver background.
- A descendant block element with default vertical margins.
The height markers on the right are 0.8125em (13px), 1em (16px), 1.12em, 1.125em (18px), 1.3125em (21px), 1.33em, 1.67em

Notes:
- For a setting of 96dpi the default vertical margins in IE7 appears to be 19 pixels in height but has been established to be 14.25 points in height. This is not changed upon text resizing but is changed with a greater dpi setting.
