IE7- auto offset and text-align bug
The box with the silver border has the text-align:center. This causes the left edge of any child element that is absolutely positioned (or fixed positioned) to have it's computed auto offset affected by the text-align. The displaces the absolutely positioned to the right by 50 percent of the width of the viewport. This can be observed by narrowing the viewport to a width of 800px. This will place the arrow above on the right edge of the viewport. The overflowing part of the absolutely positioned will be 400px long.
